My dreams about high mountain climbing started in high school. With my friend we took part in a lecture about the expedition to Manaslu. Afterwards, it was obvious to us, that we also want to live an adventure like this and so we started preparing for our own expedition. The beginnings turned out to be not as easy as we thought they would be. As we didn’t want to lose our enthusiasm we decided to go on a bike trip around Iceland, with the thought in our heads that every action like this will bring us closer to achieving our goal. During the following years we attacked Kazbek, Elbrus, and the Lenin peak, every time setting a goal a little more ambitious than the previous one and consequently realizing our plan. Eventually my dreams lead me to Alaska and to the highest peak of North America – Denali. Standing at the height of the clouds, and having the opportunity to watch them from the other side, being far away from modern technology, the Internet and all mundane problems, thinking about nothing else but how many kilometers we have to walk today, what to eat and where to sleep, brings incredible pleasure. Despite exhaustion, every time you feel great satisfaction and total calmness and the views you encounter during the hike are a perfect compensation of any discomfort on the way.

I have always been an active person and running was a part of my life from the youngest years. At first, for a period of one year, I played football. It didn’t last too long though. The first time I tried jogging, I knew that this is the sport for me! Many people think that it is a boring sport, I however treat it as a perfect opportunity for getting away from the hardships of everyday life and as a runaway from this madly driven world. I’ve been doing this sport for over 18 years now and when I started – I was one of few. Now lots of people go running. I always admire people who train, they make me very happy. Nowadays you can see many great enthusiasts of running, but also amateurs, who this way, start their adventure with sports. I’m also very positive about the fact, that there are lots of fans of running in the IT industry and that I can share my knowledge about jogging techniques with them. It is also a perfect opportunity, and a great idea for integration.

Music has always been my passion! In fact, I cannot imagine my life without it ;) It helps me forget about my daily duties for a moment, it lets me develop and simply gives a lot of joy! The opportunity to take part in a popular music festival – Audioriver and present my skills is a great challenge and an even greater ennoblement for me! I am very grateful for the fact that my company supports me in these actions and helps me develop not only at work!

Since I can remember I have always been a person who loved swimming and any kind of water sports, but I would have never thought that windsurfing would be the one to steal my heart. It has been over 10 years since I took my first steps on a windsurfing board. Windsurfing is an incredibly demanding sport, which at the beginning can give people a really hard time. Memories from my first week? – constant falls, fighting with the wind and sail and above all, with my own mind. Additionally at the end of the day a complete body sore. I could feel every muscle in my body. However, if after countless attempts, you don’t give up, you get the opportunity to feel the wind in your hair, adrenaline flowing through the veins and the board bouncing on the water at the speed of up to 30-40 km/h. Now, my satisfaction comes not only from sailing and reaching a crazy speed, but mostly from the opportunity to share my passion with others. Because the most beautiful moment, is the one, when you see your student, who is finally able to return back to the shore on their own.

I started cycling nearly 18 years ago encouraged by my neighbor-enthusiast and his brother, who at a young age was a very promising cyclist. Two years ago, after an injury and a long break I returned to cycling. I trained in a group of a dozen or so, led by Mateusz Kądziela. At first I refused to compete in amateur races, knowing that their level can sometimes be very high. If two years ago someone told me that I would participate in amateur racing and at a very decent level, I would have considered it as a cheap joke, but… I came to love the sport again. It made me realize what great opportunities lie dormant in us. Besides, amateur races are absorbing – rivalry gives a great kick and motivation for hard, sometimes even backbreaking training.

You come back from work. 6 pm. It’s high time to put your laptop aside along with whatever problems you are dealing with. You want to forget about them, reset yourself and relax. You go downstairs to the garage, put on your motorcycle suit and become a different person. You turn the key in the ignition and along with the sound of the engine all your problems disappear. From now on everything you hear are the wind and the succulent sounds of the engine. It’s only you and the machine. You know that all your concerns don’t stand a chance of getting you. You feel absolutely free. This is what I love my motorcycles for – the freedom they offer. One day I decided to let this feeling of freedom go on for 6 months on end – during my Dream Catchers travel! My passion for motorcycling has let me experience the world across 40 000 km, in 28 countries and on 4 continents! Addicted to freedom? Totally! And this is why I am already thinking about my next expedition!
